China’s Chang’e-6 lunar probe has departed from the far side of the moon, taking a step closer to completing its ambitious mission. China reportedly became the first country to display its national flag on the moon’s far side. The probe successfully collected lunar rocks from the far side and entered lunar orbit. It is expected to return to Earth around June 25. This mission gives China an advantage in lunar exploration. This is the second time China has collected samples from the moon, following the Chang’e-5 mission in 2020. The success of the mission could be a significant milestone in China’s space ambitions.
